SUNDAY DECEMBER 30, 2001   ST. JUDE CATHOLIC COMMUNITY  PAGE THREE

NEW YEAR'S DAY

His Eminence, Cardinal Roger M. Mahony, D.D., Archbishop of Los Angeles, and the Bishops of our State have dispensed us from the Obligation of participating in the Eucharist in honor of the Mystery of Faith on Jan 1st.

We will have one Vigil Mass at 4:00 p.m. Monday afternoon, December 31, 2001, and one Morning Mass at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, January 1, 2002.

BORN AGAIN OF WATER AND THE HOLY SPIRIT

By God's gift, through water and the Holy Spirit, the following infants were reborn this past weekend to everlasting life.  May God our loving Father, Jesus, our Lord and Brother, and the Holy Spirit make them always, wherever they may be, faithful members of His holy people, the Church.

Let us welcome these new members into our parish family, and let us also congratulate their parents for sharing their faith with their children:
Isabel Faustina Baca
Jonathan Paul French

OUR SYMPATHY

We offer our deepest sympathy and condolences to the families and loved ones of the following faithful departed:
Ed Dineen.

For the families and friends and the innocent victims who died during the terrorists' attack, and for those who willingly gave their lives trying to help their sisters and brothers.

CATHOLIC CALENDARS

Catholic Calendars are available today as you leave Mass.  Donations given for these Catholic Calendars will be given to serving the needs of our local poor.  It is suggested that a dollar be given for each calendar.
