All interested in purchasing Scrip Certificates to benefit our Parish School can contact Sharon Rhatigan at 818 - 707 - 2447 for the list of all participating merchants.

LABELS & BOXTOPS

We are still collecting Campbell's soup labels, and General Mills boxtops.  At the end of this school year, we can turn these in for free equipment and/or cash.  Please continue to clip and save these labels and boxtops, and bring them to the box at the front doors of the church or to the Parish School Office.    Thanks!

TOOLS 4 SCHOOLS
Every time you visit Oaks Mall please remember St. Jude the Apostle Parish School can receive points for every dollar you spend.  Currently we are receiving five (5) points for every dollar spent at department stores and ten (10) points for every purchase at specialty shops.  Simply take a moment of your time to log your receipts at the Customer Service Booth located in the Center of the Oaks Mall.  You can also log your receipts by dropping them off at our School Office.  We are currently in 2nd place (out of 35 schools).  Our goal is to be number #1 and win a $2,500.00 gift certificate!

Thank you to one and all who are supporting the Tools 4 Schools contest.  Last year we won a $800.00 gift certificate to the Oaks Mall to buy school supplies.

"KIDS CIRCLE"
Children Living With a Parent
or Grandparent with Cancer

"Kids Circle" is a four-session program to provide support and education for children who have a parent or grandparent with cancer.  In a safe, nurturing, homelike environment, this program gives children ages 5 through 12 the opportunity to better understand what is happening in their families, and how to take care of themselves.

With the guidance of caring professionals, children learn about cancer, talk about their feelings, learn new ways to cope, learn about change and make new friendships.  This is done through play, special activities, art, discussion and music.

During the "Kids Circle," adult family members meet in a group with other adults who have similar concerns.  This program provides them with specific tools, information and support to decrease their anxiety and help them help their children cope.

This happens at the Wellness Community, 530 Hampshire Road in Westlake Village April 13, 20, 27 and May 4, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

SPRING GARDENING AND YOUR MARRIAGE?

Does gardening give you a sense of wonder and fulfillment?  On your wedding day, you lovingly planted the seeds of a lifelong relationship.  A Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend will give you the "gardening tools' you need to help your marriage to grow and blossom.  It is a 44 romantic, faith-filled hours for the purpose of enriching an already strong marriage.  It is a weekend where married couples can get away from jobs, kids, chores and phones, and can focus romantically on each other.  Rediscover joy, intimacy and romance.

The next weekend is May 3-5.

For more information, or better yet to register, call Amber and Felix Masci at

IS YOUR MARRIAGE IN TROUBLE?
Do You Want to Save It?

Without attention and care, marriages wither.   Couples that once thought they could live on love often slowly and quietly drift apart or find themselves being torn apart by terrible words and actions or just a lack of romance and communication.  Many are married in name only, or just stay together "for the sake of the kids."  If this sounds like your marriage,
"RETROUVAILLE" can help.  This program, which was initiated at the request of His Holiness, Pope John Paul II, is designed to provide the communication tools needed to put suffering, troubled marriages back together.  All it usually takes, if the couple is willing, is this weekend with five scheduled follow-up talks.
