"TOGETHER IN MISSION"

Part of being a disciple of Christ, is to take a stand in solidarity with those who serve the-poorest-of-the-poor in our Archdiocese.  We cannot allow ourselves to reason why these sisters and brothers may be poor.  Nor can we ignore their needs.  Rather, we need to stand in support with them in their needs.
"Together in Mission" is the Archdiocesan ministry that allows this to happen.  Today our poorest parishes have "real needs" that are not being met.  It is estimated that it would take $128,000,000.00 today to make all the necessary repairs and do the retrofitting needed in these parishes and parish schools.  That does not include helping them meet their daily operating expenses that amounts to more than $11,000,000.00 annually.
If you have not yet made your Pledge Commitment, please prayerfully consider giving a little more than you have over the past years.  We all need to come to a real awareness of the burdens and the genuine needs that exist in our poorest parishes.  We all need to understand that our Baptismal Calling impels us to share with those who are less fortunate.  Let us dig deeply this year and try our best to help this worthwhile ministry,
"Together in Mission."

ST. VINCENT de PAUL BUNDLE SUNDAY

Sunday, April 7th, will be St. Vincent de Paul Bundle Sunday here at St. Jude's.  Please bring your usable clothing and household items to their truck that will be parked near the Media Building at the school.  As you do your spring cleaning, this is an excellent way to share your usable clothing, household items and furniture with those less fortunate.  There is currently a desperate need for furniture and large appliances.

Please make sure all clothing and household items are clean and usable.

Large items can be picked up at your home by calling 323 - 224 - 6280 or 800 - 97 - HELP-1.

FATIMA ROSARY GROUP

Fatima Rosary Group meets every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. during the month of March at the home of Ann Battaglia.  For directions and information, call (805) 492-4762.
