GOOD FRIDAY---Fast & Abstinence
Good Friday is a Day of Abstinence, and also a Day of Fasting.
Abstinence obliges all who are fourteen years of age and over. On an Abstinence Day, no one fourteen or over may any eat meat or meat products.
Fasting obliges all who are between eighteen and fifty-nine years of age. On a Fast Day all 18-59 should eat only one full meal, and two small collations to maintain strength, and nothing in-between those meals.
