WOMEN'S ANNUAL SILENT RETREAT
St. Jude's Annual Women's Silent Retreat will be held at Sacred Heart Retreat House in Alhambra this coming weekend, February 8th thru 10th. The retreat begins at 8:00 p.m. Friday evening and concludes on Sunday afternoon around 4:00 p.m. Father Bruce Neill, CSP, will be this year's Retreat Master.
For reservations, please call Kay Zimmerman at 805 - 373 - 1099. Car pools will leave from St. Jude's parking lot. Early registration is required.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTRY
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED...
Volunteers are needed to become Eucharistic Ministers. Please contact Tom or Susan Mogan at 818-991-7932. (Please do not call after 8:00 p.m. in consideration of family time. Thanks for helping us be a family!)
The only requirements are: 1) you are a Fully-Initiated Catholic Christian (baptized, confirmed, and made First Communion), 2) you are "canonically" able to receive the Sacraments (if married, married in the Catholic Church), and 3) you are frequently receiving Holy Communion. Also, please register in the Pastoral Center. Schedules may be picked up in the Sacristy.

The first quarterly meeting of all Eucharistic Minister Team Leaders will be on Monday, February 4th at 7:00 p.m. in the parish hall. These quarterly meetings are mandatory for Team Leaders. Concerns and questions will be reviewed and discussed.

ST. JUDE THE APOSTLE PARISH SCHOOL REGISTRATION
Registration for our Parish School is being held today, February 3rd from 9:00 a.m. till 12:00 noon for new students for the 2002-2003 School Term.

BIBLE STUDY - Sunday to Sunday
Please come join us in preparing for next Sunday's Mass. We meet to learn about and discuss the Readings for the upcoming Sunday Liturgy. Each week we watch a 20-minute video, stopping the tape at appropriate moments to discuss the material presented. We enjoy lively conversation, faith sharing moments, and good Christian fellowship, as we learn more about the Bible and thereby enable ourselves to be more fully prepared to celebrate next Sunday's Mass.
We meet Wednesday mornings from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. We will study the "Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time" (A)" this week. All are welcome! No preparation! No homework!

JOIN IN THE CELEBRATION OF
LITURGY OF HOURS
One and all are encouraged to join in praying Morning Prayer (Lauds) each Monday through Thursday morning at 7:45 a.m. Friday morning, Morning Prayer is prayed at 7:30 p.m. during the school year. Daytime Prayer is prayed at 12:00 noon after the Angelus before the 12:05 p.m. Mass.
Copies of the "Liturgy of the Hours" are provided in large print by the front doors of the church. Anyone wishing to own his/her own copy of the "Liturgy of the Hours" in big print may buy one at the Parish Pastoral Center.
