LOAVES AND FISHES
The food drive for Area Three was held on Saturday, January 19th. It was another outstanding success!
Volunteers requesting a donation of a bad of groceries called over two hundred families from our parish. The response was overwhelming! 398 bags of groceries, $250.00 in cash, and 1000 pounds of potatoes (thanks to a potato distributor in our parish) were collected and picked up by the following social services:
Dolores Mission in Los Angeles
Catholic Charities Oxnard
St. Vincent de Paul Society Conejo Valley Senior Concerns
Las Familias/Impacto
Our "Loaves and Fishes" Area Three Coordinator Madeleine Giberson wishes to thank all those who contributed their time, effort and donations. God bless and rewards you all!
These donations, given by you, have helped to take care of many of the needy of Ventura County and some in Los Angeles. Please join with your fellow parishioners in making a difference in our community. Stop by the tables outside of church after each Mass to volunteer. There are many different ways to help!
Our next food drive is Saturday, February 16th.
