DIED IN CHRIST

Our parish community extends its most heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of those who have died this week. May God the Father welcome them into paradise. Father thank you for all the blessings you gave them in this life to show your Fatherly care for all of us. Eternal rest grant unto them and let your perpetual light shine upon them.

SECOND COLLECTION THIS WEEKEND
Universal Needs of the Church

Across our nation today millions of Catholic Christians are responding to the Gospel Call to bring light into this world by donating funds today to help enable the Church to be a source of hope to those in need.    As Catholics we should take pride that our Catholic Relief Services ranks as one of the largest and most efficient relief agencies in the world.    It is usually one of the first to respond to any crisis situation, and one of the last to leave as it stays on to "bear fruit" by helping people rebuild their lives, learn skills for self-sufficiency, and strengthen communities through work and development.    Today Catholic Relief Services is at work in over 80 countries.     When war, or famine, or disaster occurs, Catholic Relief Services responds thanks to your generosity.

For those who are tithing, this is another opportunity to share an additional 5% for the poor.
