ENHANCE THE SPARKLE IN YOUR MARRIAGE

Rediscover the one you love!    Do you remember how your eyes sparkled and your heart throbbed during those early days of your marriage?    You can bring back much of that sparkle and romance and enrich your marriage for years to come, by making a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend.    This is a really great opportunity to set aside some time from your busy lifestyles and rekindle that spark in your spouse's eyes and heart.

For more information, or better yet to register, call Ed and Jo today at
818 - 848 - 6729.

IS YOUR MARRIAGE IN TROUBLE?

Without attention and care, marriages wither.   Couples that once thought they could live on love, slowly and quietly drift apart or find themselves being torn apart by terrible words and actions.     Many are married in name only, or just stay together "for the sake of the kids."    If this sounds like your marriage, "RETROUVAILLE" can help.    This program, which was initiated at the request of His Holiness, Pope John Paul II, is designed to provide the communication tools needed to put suffering, troubled marriages back together.   All it usually takes if the couple is willing, is this weekend with five scheduled follow-up talks.

For confidential information or to register, please call
800 - 470 - 2230 as soon as possible to begin the registration process.

INDEPENDENT ADOPTION CENTER

The Independent Adoption Center, a nonprofit counseling and educational foundation, as well as a licensed adoption agency, has helped approximately 2000 couples adopt their BABY, usually within a year, regardless of adoptive parents' age and race.    The agency understands how painful and how frustrating, it can be when couples have a difficult time starting or expanding their families.

DAY OF PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS

In each parish of our Archdiocese, a day is set aside for Prayer for Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life.  That assigned day for our parish is the first Wednesday of  each month.  Thus, this Wednesday, January 3rd is our Day of Prayer for Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life.

Our Day of Prayer begins with the Liturgy of the Hours Morning Prayer (Lauds) at 7:45 a.m. followed by the 8:00 a.m. Mass.  Mass concludes with Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament in the Eucharistic Chapel.  Benediction takes place at 7:15 p.m. followed by the 7:30 p.m. Mass and Novena of St. Jude.

Surely each of us can take some time to spend with Jesus praying for Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life.  Not only praying for those whom the Lord may be calling, but also for all who have responded to that call that may faithfully fulfill it.

FIRST FRIDAY

This Friday, January 5th is the First Friday of January.  Confessions will be heard Thursday afternoon and evening as usual.
