BIBLE STUDY - Sunday to Sunday
Please come join us in preparing for next Sunday's Mass. We meet to learn about and discuss the Readings for the upcoming Sunday Liturgy. Each week we watch a 20 minute video, stopping the tape at appropriate moments to discuss the material presented. We enjoy lively conversation, faith sharing moments, and good Christian fellowship, as we learn more about the Bible and thereby enable ourselves to be more fully prepared to celebrate next Sunday's Mass.
Tuesday mornings 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in Room 7. This week we will do the "Fourth Sunday of Advent" (C)." All are welcome! Come prepare for next Sunday's Mass! No preparation! No homework!

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION
Since the Second Vatican Council, there has been restored the special process for people interested in knowing and learning about our Catholic Christian Faith. This process is known as the Rite of Christian Initiation --- RCIA. There are special levels for adults, for teens, and for children six and older. At the end of this process, those not baptized in any fashion, are given the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion. Those who have been baptized in another Ecclesial Community --- such as Episcopal, Methodist, Lutheran, Presbyterian, etc. --- are given Confirmation and Holy Communion after they make a Profession of Faith. Orthodox Christians merely make a Profession of Faith.
If you know anyone --- adult, teen or child --- who might want to know about us Catholic Christians, why not invite them.
This program is also for anyone who was baptized a Catholic as a child, but who was never raised in the Catholic Christian Faith.
Anyone who was baptized a Catholic and who practiced the Faith for some time before dropping-out or joining another Ecclesial Community, should attend our "Welcome Home Returning Catholic Program" first.
For adults, please give Jenifer Carmichael a call at 805 - 497 - 2551. New Adult Inquiry begins last Monday of January, the 29th, at 7:30 p.m.
For teens and children, please call Joan Nardone at

RETURNING CATHOLIC PROGRAM
Our parish community offers a wonderful program three times a year for those Catholics who have fallen-away from the practice of their Catholic Christian Faith for one reason or another. Whether they have been hurt in some way, or whether they just walked-away for some reason or another. This program has as its chief goal: 1) the hopeful healing of wounds and hurts, and 2) the welcoming of a brother or sister Back Home.
No questions are asked as to why anyone left. However, opportunities are given for sharing your story, if you wish, during this three month program. In addition, opportunities are offered to help answer questions, fix-up marriages in the Church, and heal wounds.
If you yourself would like to be a part of this Welcome Back Home Process, or if you know someone, or even if your want to know more about this program, please contact one of the priests or Deacon Joe Manion at 818 - 889 -1279. Deacon Joe's extension is # 219 We are all anxious to have you come Back Home. Our Father is anxiously watching and waiting to reach out and welcome you Home, and to remind us all: "Let the celebration begin for my son/daughter who was away has come Back Home to us!"
