TOYS AND TOYS
FOR
GIRLS AND BOYS!

This month we hope to take toys to Las Familias del Pueblo and Impacto.  Las Familias has about 60 children, ages 3 to 12 years and Impacto has 40 older children, ages 10 to 16.  They may be wrapped or unwrapped.  If wrapped, then make a note about age and sex.

We will need the toys on December 18th when we make sandwiches at 10:00 a.m. in the parish hall.

We will also visit the Sisters Disciples of the Divine Masters and if you would like to contribute gifts, food or money for the nuns to cheer them at Christmastime it would be greatly appreciated.  They love hand cream, lotions, sweaters, etc.  There are six sisters in the convent.

Thank you for all your help and may the Baby Jesus smile on you and make your Christmas a very blessed one.

If you have any questions, please give Arline a call at 805 496-6345.

SANDWICHES FOR IMPACTO
AND LAS FAMILIAS DEL PUEBLO

Sandwiches for Impacto and Las Familias del Pueblo will be made tomorrow, Monday, December 18th, at 10:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall.

All children need toys for Christmas.     Let us not forget our little children in Los Angeles.    Let's donate some toys so that these little children too feel loved, as they receive a toy on Christmas.     If you wrap your toy --- which would be appreciated --- please put the age and sex on each package.     Thank you!   God bless and reward you all!     In fact, may God bless and reward you a hundredfold, for all you have done for His special ones all year!

NEW YEAR'S DAY MASSES

Since New Year's Day, the Solemnity of the Motherhood of Mary, falls on a Monday, the Holyday of Obligation is dispensed in accordance with the norms of Church Law.

Church Law states:   If a Holyday of Obligation falls on a Saturday or Monday, it is to be dispensed.   That is true for all Holydays, except in our nation the Solemnity of the Birth of the Lord and the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception are never dispensed, if they happen to occur on a Saturday or Monday.      Those two Feasts are always celebrated and observed as Holydays of Obligation.

Because of the dispensation from Mass observance, there will only be two Masses on January 1st, 2001.    9:00 a.m. and 12:05 p.m.
