Every year on the Sunday before Thanksgiving our parish Confirmation Students cook and serve a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner to all the Seniors in our parish community.    This year that will happen next Sunday, November 19^th, right after the 12:00 noon Mass.   

Hall doors will open as soon as the Noon Mass is completed.      A delicious Thanksgiving Dinner cooked and prepared by our First Year Confirmation Students, their parents and other parishioners will be served at 1:30 p.m.     Second Year Confirmation Students will serve the meals and wait on tables.     That is right!   You will be served!      No standing in line!     Your wish, will be their command.

If you plan to attend this enjoyable and delicious Thanksgiving Celebration for Seniors, please RSVP to our Confirmation Coordinator, Denise Cortes, at 818 - 889 - 2541.    You may also call the Parish Office at 818 - 889 - 1279, and leave your name and the number attending.       

Anyone wishing to help in anyway, by preparing food, by helping to decorate the Parish Hall, is asked to please contact Denise at 818 - 889 - 2541.     The Confirmands, of course, will be fully involved in all these things.

Couples meet monthly from September to June either at St. Jude's or St. Maximillian.     Usually there is a presentation on some aspect of marriage or family life, with social time before and after each gathering as an integral part of the monthly meeting. 

E-mail Prayer Chain requests are passed quickly, when asked.     There is also a Monthly Women's Night Out (movie night, cookie exchange, etc.), and a Men's Softball game Friday night Fall and Spring, with families enjoying pizza after early games.

Summer:   Family Camping Trip, Family BBQ & Swim Party, Family Beach Days.

On Thanksgiving morning, November 23^rd, at 9:00 a.m., we will celebrate Thanksgiving, a Nation Day of Prayer, with a significant spiritual dimension.

We cordially invite all men and women, who serve in or have served in the military, to process in uniform, in the Gathering Procession.

We also welcome men, women and children dressed in the cultural attire of their native countries, to join in this procession.

Any parishioner, who speaks a language other than English, is most welcome to pray (read) one the Universal Intercessions. 

Also, Thanksgiving Day is Family Jubilee Day.    We will pray a special prayer together during Communion time, and all attending will receive a copy of this prayer.
