HOMELESS BREAKFAST

"I have no hands but yours…" We are bringing all ingredients, cooking and serving breakfast to the Homeless every second Saturday of the month. Come and be part of Jesus' hands.

We leave St. Jude's at 5:30 to 5:45 a.m. to carpool or go on your own to Catholic Charities in Ventura, 303 N. Ventura Ave. Directions will be available that morning in the parking lot for those going on their own.

SAN LORENZO DE RUIZ FESTIVITIES


September 28 is the feast day of San Lorenzo Ruiz.  As part of the celebration is a nine day novena in his honor commencing on the 19th of September through the 27th.  It will be held daily at 7:00 p.m. with different families hosting each night's event.

The celebration of his feast will close with a fiesta on Saturday, September 30th, beginning with the 5:00 p.m. Mass.

MASTERS DEGREE IN THEOLOGY


St. John's College Seminary in Camarillo is now admitting lay students, men and women, who are interested in taking courses in Religious Studies for
credit or for audit.   

Pilar, our Parish Business Manager, is currently enrolled.

DISTRICT MEETING ACCW


All Catholic Women are invited to Ventura District Meeting of the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women on Wednesday, October 18th, at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 185 St. Thomas Drive in Ojai.   

The day begins with Registration at 9:30 a.m.    Carol Cunningham will be the featured speaker.    Her talk will be "Realizing Your Dreams".     Father Patrick Keane, O.S.A., the pastor, will preside at the 11:00 a.m. Mass.    A Luncheon will be served after Mass, with adjournment by 1:30 p.m.     Cost for the day is $7.00.

For reservations, please make check-out to "St. Thomas Aquinas Women's Guild", and then mail your check to "Charlene Brannan, 1318 White Oak Circle, Ojai, CA 93023."    The Deadline is October 13th.

DIED IN CHRIST

Our parish community extends its most heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of those who have died this week. May God the Father welcome them into paradise. Father thank you for all the blessings you gave them in this life to show your Fatherly care for all of us. Eternal rest grant unto them and let your perpetual light shine upon them.
