Registration for the 2000-2001 School Term for all Religious Education Classes from Pre-School thru High School Confirmation is now taking place.

Pre-School Classes take place Sunday Mornings during the 9:00 a.m. Mass during the  School Year beginning Sunday, September 24th.     
Elementary Classes are held weekday afternoons from 3:45 to 5:00 p.m. beginning 
1^st grade, Monday, September 18^th
2nd grade, Tuesday, September 19^th
3^rd, 4^th, 5^th grades, Thursday, September 21^st
Junior High Classes are held Tuesday Evenings from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. beginning
Tuesday, September 19th   

Confirmation is open to all students in high school.    Classes are held in homes on different evenings to allow for a student's schedule.     There are communal gatherings at the parish periodically, and a weekend retreat once each year.      All Confirmation students are also required to complete hours of Christian Service to God and neighbor.      They are also required to have a Sponsor who lives locally who can journey with them during communal gatherings, and take part in Rites.     And, they are additionally required to attend the Archdiocesan Youth Day in Anaheim.

Confirmation II students are reminded that they need to re-register for the Second Year Program.

Class begins the week of September 24^th.

If this will be your first time registering for any of these classes, please bring along a copy of your child/ren's Baptismal Certificate(s).

If you would like to know about us Catholic Christians, then our RCIA Program is for you.    These sessions begin on Monday, September 11^th, at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.    Come with a Catholic friend!      Come with anyone!      Come alone if no one wants to come with you!     But do come!     All are welcome!

And, if you know anyone who might wish to know about us Catholic Christians, then why not invite them.    What do you have to loose?      And what you might gain!!!    Wow!  Not only invite someone, but come with them!     Help them feel comfortable!

Remember:   program begins again next Monday evening, September 11^th.

Volunteers are needed to study with and walk with those wishing to know about our Catholic Christian Faith.    All that is needed, is to have a willing heart to listen and to share.

Many Catholics shy away from answering questions about our Catholic Faith, whether the question comes from a child or an adult.    Serving as an RCIA Sponsor is a fantastic way to learn our Faith as you help others on their journey with the Lord.     RCIA Sponsors learn even as they help others learn, as we share our stories and reflect on God's Word.    For all the while, the Lord is touching the Sponsor's heart and mind, while touching also the heart and soul of the person searching to know the Lord.

One of the most special ministries in our parish, is "Embracing the Dying".    Those in this ministry embrace those who are dying and their families.     They serve as spiritual hospice persons.     Helping the dying person and the family to share last thoughts and feelings.     Helping the family to accept the impending death of a loved one.     Helping the dying person with their family to compose their funeral service:  music, Readings, etc.    So that on the day of the Christian Burial ritual, the family truly feels one with their beloved who has died and gone to the Lord, and knows that their loved one helped put this together as what they wanted all to feel, and be comforted by, during the funeral rituals.
