St. Jude's Parish Community is going to the Holy Land from October 21^st, to November 1st, 2000.     We leave one week after the Oktoberfest.     

Cost:  $2,170.00 net price per person in a double room.    $455.00 supplement for a single room.    Price includes round trip air-fare to Holy Land; arrival and departure transfers; two meals daily (breakfast and table d'hote dinner); farewell dinner party with wine, soft drinks, coffee and tea;  porterage at airport;   land transportation and guide;   entrance fees to all sites;   daily Mass at different Holy land shrines;   12 days of pilgrimage and over night stays in first class hotels.    If anyone would like to be on the waiting list, please send in your name as cancellations often occur.     Brochures are available in the Parish Pastoral Office for more information or to register for this Pilgrimage to Holy Land.     

NB:    For those who would like to visit Cairo and Luxor, there is a Side Trip for 8 days (3 days in hotel in Cairo, 4 days on ship on Nile, and last night in Cairo before returning) for an additional $1,500.00.   The cost falls as the number rises of those going.

The "2000 St. Jude Summer Spirit Day Camp" Registration has begun.

Ages:  4 ½ years (with pre-school experience) to age  12
Fees include:   Insurance, Camper Tee Shirt, and cost of materials.
Not Included:   Magic Mountain Trip for older Campers

St. Jude's Summer Spirit Day Camp is looking for counselors.    If you enjoy working with children up to 12 years of age, having fun, and enjoy the summer sun, then come join us for this Summer Day Camp.    Applications are now being accepted for counselors, assistant counselors, and helpers.    Anyone going into the 8^th grade up to 12^th is eligible and welcome.   

Confirmation Students:  This is a great way for anyone who is preparing for Confirmation to fulfill their Confirmation Christian Service Hours.

"Respite & Renewal" is a wonderful program designed to offer Care-Givers support.

We all become a Care Giver at some time during our lives.    When we become a parent of an emotionally and/or physically disabled child; or we have elderly parents or relatives to care for;   or we are involved in many bereavement or detention or other ministries that drain us even as we serve.   From time to time we need a "Respite" and we need to be "Renewed".     

This group meets every other Sunday afternoon in Rooms 3 & 4 of the Parish Hall from 1:15 to 3:00 p.m.     Next gathering will meet Sunday, June 25th.    No meeting the 18^th as it is Father's Day.     No dues!     No fees!     Just sharing and support and love.

One and all are encouraged to join in praying Morning Prayer (Lauds) each morning at 7:45 a.m.     You are also invited to join in praying Daytime Prayer before Noon Mass at 11:50 a.m. followed by the "Regina Caeli" during the Eastertime.

Copies of the "Liturgy of the Hours" are provided in large print by the front doors of the church.    Anyone wishing to own his/her own copy of the "Liturgy of the Hours" in big print may buy one at the Parish Pastoral Center.
