Handicapables, sponsored by Catholic Charities will hold their next meeting on Saturday, June 10th at St. Paschal Baylon Church, 155 E. Janss Rd., Thousand Oaks.

Registration is at 11:00 a.m., Mass at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch and entertainment. There is no cost for this event.

"Respite & Renewal" is a wonderful program designed to offer Care-Givers support.

We all become a Care Giver at some time during our lives.    When we become a parent of an emotionally and/or physically disabled child; or we have elderly parents or relatives to care for;   or we are involved in many bereavement or detention or other ministries that drain us even as we serve.   From time to time we need a "Respite" and we need to be "Renewed".     

This group meets every other Sunday afternoon in Rooms 3 & 4 of the Parish Hall from 1:15 to 3:00 p.m.     Next gathering will be Sunday, June 4th.     No dues!     No fees!     Just sharing and support and love.

St. Jude's Summer Spirit Day Camp is looking for counselors.    If you enjoy working with children up to 12 years of age, having fun, and enjoy the summer sun, then come join us for this Summer Day Camp.    Applications are now being accepted for counselors, assistant counselors, and helpers.    Anyone going into the 8^th grade up to 12^th is eligible and welcome.    This is a great way for anyone who is preparing for Confirmation to fulfill their Confirmation Hours.

Director positions are also open for anyone who has graduated from high school and who has experience working with children.   

Please return all applications to the Parish Pastoral Office as soon as possible.    Many positions will be filled on a first come basis.

One and all are encouraged to join in praying Morning Prayer (Lauds) each morning at 7:45 a.m.     You are also invited to join in praying Daytime Prayer before Noon Mass at 11:50 a.m. followed by the "Regina Caeli" during the Eastertime.

Copies of the "Liturgy of the Hours" are provided in large print by the front doors of the church.    Anyone wishing to own his/her own copy of the "Liturgy of the Hours" in big print may buy one at the Parish Pastoral Center.

The "2000 St. Jude Summer Spirit Day Camp" Registration has begun.

Dates: Wednesday, July 4^th, through Friday, July 28^th
Ages:  4 ½ years (with pre-school experience) to age  12
Fees include:   Insurance, Camper Tee Shirt, and cost  of materials.
Not Included:   Magic Mountain Trip for older Campers

2000 St. Jude Summer Spirit Day Camp Registration Applications are available in the Parish Pastoral Office.     Registration is on a first come basis.    Payment in full must accompany your completed registration form.
