PARISH PASTORAL OFFICES CLOSED
MEMORIAL DAY
Tomorrow. Monday, May 29th, our Parish Pastoral Offices will be closed this Monday so that the Parish Staff may enjoy the holiday with their families.
There will be only one Mass tomorrow, Memorial Day, at 9:00 a.m.

MEMORIAL DAY
Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Cemetery
One of the benefits of being buried in a Catholic Cemetery, such as Assumption in Simi Valley, is that Mass is offered for the repose of the souls of all buried there twice a year at the cemetery itself, and also daily in one parish throughout our Archdiocese. Thus, if all others forget to pray for the repose of your soul, at least the Archdiocese does not.
Tomorrow, Memorial Day, there will be a Mass for all buried there at 10:00 a.m. concelebrated by many of the priests of Deanery 4. Reverend Monsignor Gary Bauler, Pastor of St. Peter Claver, will be the Presider this year.
In our own parish, we will have only one Mass at 9:00 a.m. Assumption Catholic Cemetery can be reached by taking the 23 Fwy then right on Olsen Road to Royal. Right on Royal to First Street. Right on First to Fitzgerald. Left on Fitzgerald and there you are.

BEREAVEMENT MEETING
St. Jude's Bereavement will meet this Wednesday, May 31st, at 7:30 p.m. in Rooms 3 & 4 in the Parish Hall.
Volunteers are needed for Survivor Visitation---follow-up. These volunteers visit families after a death in their family. These visitations happen after the burial when all who came for the funeral have returned home, and the family is alone with their grief. If you are interested in this ministry you are invited to come to the meeting on Wednesday or call Debbie Meier at 818 597-1464.
