ST.  JUDE  PARISH  SCHOOL  NEWS

THANK YOU!

St. Jude the Apostle Parish School Eighth Grade would like to thank all the parishioners for helping raise books for Guardian Angel Parish School in Pacoima.    Thanks to you, three thousand books were gathered.     Your help and generosity is deeply appreciated!    May God bless and reward you all!

TOOLS 4 SCHOOLS

St. Jude the Apostle Parish School is once again participating in the Oaks Mall "Tools 4 Schools" program.    This unique program provides educational materials to school children.  All that you need to do to help our Parish School Children, is to save the receipts of all of your purchases that you make at the Oaks Mall from now through this December 31, 2000.   Take a minute to stop at the Center Court and have them credit those receipts to our Parish School.

Except for that extra minute, it cost you nothing and you help our Parish School.   If you have any questions, please contact Kim Cummings at 805 - 496 - 2424.

SCRIP

"Scrip Certificates"
are sold at the Parish School Office during Regular School Hours.   Credit cards are accepted.   You can obtain a complete listing of all "Scrip Certificates" available by calling Sharon at 818 - 707 - 2447.

LABELS & BOXTOPS

We are still collecting Campbell's soup labels, and General Mills boxtops.   At the end of this school year, we can turn these in for free equipment and/or cash.   Please continue to clip and save these labels and boxtops, and bring them to the box at the front doors of the church or to the Parish School Office.    Thanks!

BIBLE STUDY - Sunday to Sunday

Please come join us in preparing for next Sunday's Mass.     We meet to learn about and discuss the Readings for the upcoming Sunday Liturgy.    Each week we watch a 20 minute video, stopping the tape at appropriate moments to discuss the material presented.   We enjoy lively conversation, faith sharing moments, and good Christian fellowship, as we learn more about the Bible and thereby enable ourselves to be more fully prepared to celebrate next Sunday's Mass.

Tuesday mornings 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in Room 7.       This week we will do the
"Easter Sunday" (B)."    All are welcome!   Come prepare for next Sunday's Mass!   No preparation!     No homework!

For more information, please contact Linda Odre at
805 - 373 - 1348, or Cathy Stobbe at 805 - 379 - 4064.
