relationship with God or destroy His life flowing grace within him/her. It is recommended that penitents acknowledge their Venial Sins too when confessing, and not just Mortal Sins.
The worst Mortal Sins have to do with our relationship directly with God. Some of these sins would be receiving any Sacrament sacrilegiously, putting anything or anyone before God, not praying frequently, failing to participate in the Sunday Eucharist weekly or on Holydays of Obligation, misusing God's Holy Name, cursing (damning a person, place or thing to hell), perjury.
Other Mortal Sins have to do with self and our neighbor. Some of these sins would be murder, abortion, drunkenness due to drugs or alcohol, fornication, adultery, masturbation, sterilization, serious hatred of another, seriously hurting another physically or emotionally, stealing or robbery, seriously destroying another's reputation, miserliness (failure to share not just from one's abundance but from one's needs with those less fortunate), failure to respect legitimate authority, failure to pay just wages or give a full day's work for a full day's pay failure to drive safely and so put others at serious risk.
Who cannot go to confession? Anyone who cannot be truly sorry or who does wish at this time to be truly sorry, is the only one who cannot receive Sacramental Forgiveness. E.g., anyone living with another who has not been married in the Church, anyone who does not want to stop doing something that is mortally sinful.
If we have not already done so, let us make the best confession of our lives as early in the week as possible, but before the Sacred Triduum begins Holy Thursday evening.

EASTER FLOWERS
Potted Easter Lilies, Azaleas, Hydrangeas, and Tulips of any color are needed to decorate the environment for Easter. As we did last year, one and all are invited to donate a Potted Plant in memory of some person (living or deceased) or in thanksgiving for some favor granted or in petition for some favor.
Please attach a note to your Potted Plant listing the name of the person in whose honor the Potted Plant has been donated, and whether that person is living or deceased. Or, listing whether your Potted Plant is given in Thanksgiving for a favor received or in Petition for some favor being sought from God.
All names will be noted in the Bulletin the Sunday after Easter, as will Thanksgiving and Petition Intentions. All will be asked to look over that list, and to pray for those persons and intentions. Please bring your Potted Plants to the Parish Pastoral Office Good Friday, or directly to the church Holy Saturday morning. Please do not bring your Potted Plants earlier in the week, as no flowers may be in the church during Holy Week and there is only so much room in the Pastoral Office.

HOLY THURSDAY FLOWERS
For only a very short period after the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday evening, we are invited to come and watch with Jesus at the Altar of Repose. Anyone who has flowers growing in their yard may wish to bring some to place around the Lord during this short period of adoration. Placing your own flowers at the Altar of Repose, is like surrounding the Lord Jesus on this sad evening with your hearts and love.
If you wish to bring cut flowers for that evening, please bring them Thursday to the church and place them in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel.
