HELP AN INNER CITY PARISH SCHOOL
St Jude the Apostle Parish School 8th grade students are collecting new and used books for Guardian Angel Parish School. The Principal is Mr. Cortez, who used to teach at St. Jude's. His Parish School needs books for classroom libraries and for a school library.
Bring your books and place them in a bag or a box outside of the 8th grade classroom at our school. Thanks for helping a school with real needs.

CARE-GIVERS "Respite & Renewal"
"Respite & Renewal" is a wonderful program designed to offer Care-Givers support.
We all become a Care Giver at some time during our lives. When we become a parent of an emotionally and/or physically disabled child; or we have elderly parents or relatives to care for; or we are involved in many bereavement or detention or other ministries that drain us even as we serve. From time to time we need a "Respite" and we need to be "Renewed".
This group meets every other Sunday afternoon in Rooms 3 & 4 of the Parish Hall from 1:15 to 3:00 p.m. Next gathering will be this afternoon, March 26th. No dues! No fees! Just sharing and support and love.
For more information, please contact Margaret Pontius Evenings Only at 818 - 706 - 1842.

HOLY YEAR DOOR IN YOUR HOME To Remind You to Open the Doors of your Hearts to Christ?
Pope John Paul II has issued a Call and a Challenge that each individual "Open Wide the Doors to Christ" --- the doors of our hearts and minds and souls. We can accomplish this by becoming reconciled with ourselves; by reconciling with family members with whom we live; by reconciling with those at work or school with whom we spend a lot of time; by reconciling and forgiving anyone who has offended or hurt us; and by reconciling with any we have hurt or offended.

LITURGICAL MINISTRY STANDING AT MASS
In compliance with the rubrics provided in the "Editio Typica" (Official Vatican Latin Edition) of the 1976 Sacramentary, we are now standing from the "Our Father" till all have received the Holy Communion.
The purpose behind "standing", is to remind the Gathered Assembly that many though we are, we become one body in Christ and one with each other in Christ. As one body, all doing the same thing, we stand together while singing together the Communion Hymn of praise unto the Lord. Only after all have received, do we then sit together to spend some time in quiet meditation and prayer with the Eucharistic Lord within us.

YOUR JUBILEE DOOR
We have been encouraged by our Holy Father to mark "a" door in our homes, schools, parishes, and even our offices with a Door Hanger stating "Open Wide the Doors to Christ." There are packets in our Parish Pastoral Office for making a Jubilee Door in your home.
