HELP AN INNER CITY PARISH SCHOOL

St Jude the Apostle Parish School 8th grade students are collecting new and used books for Guardian Angel Parish School.     The Principal is Mr. Cortez, who used to teach at St. Jude's.     His Parish School needs books for classroom libraries and for a school library.

Bring your books and place them in a bag or a box outside of the 8th grade classroom at our school.     Thanks for helping a school with real needs.

CARE-GIVERS
"Respite & Renewal"

"Respite & Renewal" is a wonderful program designed to offer Care-Givers support.

We all become a Care Giver at some time during our lives.    When we become a parent of an emotionally and/or physically disabled child; or we have elderly parents or relatives to care for;   or we are involved in many bereavement or detention or other ministries that drain us even as we serve.   From time to time we need a
"Respite" and we need to be "Renewed".

This group meets every other Sunday afternoon in Rooms 3 & 4 of the Parish Hall from 1:15 to 3:00 p.m.     Next gathering will be next Sunday, March 26th.     No dues!     No fees!     Just sharing and support and love.

For more information, please contact Margaret Pontius
Evenings Only at 818 - 706 - 1842.

ADDENDA TO THANK YOU

Those who organized that party for the Sikorra Family wish to thank each and everyone who helped in anyway.    Because of your generous donations, contributions, and talents, we were able to provide delicious food, beverages, desserts, and live music for several hundred people in a magical Valentine setting.     So far this event has generated over $19,000.00 for the Sikorra Family Trust Fund.     Donations are still being made!

That benefit was more than a financial success!    Much more!     Your loving strong support for the Sikorras was evident in the remarkable feeling of friendship and loving fun that pervaded the evening.    Your presence, and the incredible support of those who could not be there, was an amazing gift to the Sikorra family.     We were overwhelmed by the support from local business, and wish to thank them all, and must acknowledge that we could not have done this without them.    Several of businesses went above and beyond their "normal" charity donations, and so we want to give special thank you to:  Albertson's, Pavillions, Hof's Hut Bakery, Trader Joe's, Bristol Farms, Anheuser-Busch, Lampost Pizza, Gelsons, and Van Loon Balloons.     Also, Lister's Rents, Kinkos, Cisco's Restaurant, Sharkey's, Ralph's
