ST. JUDE CATHOLIC COMMUNITY    PAGE TEN   FEBRUARY 13, 2000

BE A BIG BROTHER

Help make a child's new year 2000 something really special by volunteering to be a Big Brother.   Catholic Big Brothers matches fatherless youth with adults who provide friendship and guidance.    If you have a few hours each month to give to a child in your community, consider the opportunity to become involved.    All it takes is a willingness to include a child in many of the activities you already do.

Please call
213 - 251 - 9800 or 800 - 463 - 4066.

Catholic Big & Little Brothers Alumni

Catholic Big Brothers will be celebrating its 75th anniversary during 2000.   They are looking for past Big and Little Brothers to participate in the festivities.     If you have been involved with Catholic Big Brothers at any time during its history, please contact 800 - 463 - 4066.

CHECK OUT OUR NEW WEB SITE
www./stjudewv.org

We are still under construction so be patient, but you will find a wealth of information about St. Jude's Community and what we have to offer on our new web site.

Mass and confession schedules, holydays, information about workshops and classes, religious education, youth ministry, Sacraments, our gift shop and much more. If you forgot to take home a copy of your bulletin you will find it on the web!

We will be able to update your registration and send you contribution statements upon request. In order to do this, however, we need your e-mail address. Please send it to marie@stjudeswv.org so we can include it in your file.

Don't forget! Check us out!

CATHOLIC PARENTS OF GAYS & LESBIANS

You are not alone!    The Church wants to support you.   The Church wants to help your children remain active members of the Catholic Church and to welcome your children who have left our midst.

By sharing one's feelings and stories, with God's help, this group hopes to help parents and family members understand and deal with their gay and lesbian family members.

These monthly local meetings are informal and confidential, and are held regularly on the fourth Wednesday of each month in the Simi Valley.     Father Michael Carcerano, Pastor of St. Rose of Lima, tries to attend so as to offer pastoral help.

For directions to the local home meeting or for more information, please contact John or Christine at
805 - 522 - 4861.
