ST. JUDE THE APOSTLE PARISH SCHOOL REGISTRATION
for School Year 2000-2001


Our Parish School will take registrations for grades Kindergarten through Eighth Grade today in the Parish School Office from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.   

Please bring along a copy of your child's Baptismal Certificate, and  your Parish Sunday Envelope number.     For grades One through Eight, please bring your child's previous school records.     For Kindergarten, please bring your child's Pre-School Evaluation.

ST. JUDE'S PARISH SCHOOL $10,000.00 SUPER DRAWING


St. Jude the Apostle Parish School is sponsoring a $10,000.00 Super Drawing.    Only 300 tickets will be sold for this Drawing.      Thus, your chances of winning are 1-in-300 for winning the $10,000.00 prize.

The proceeds from this $10,000.00 Super Drawing will go towards the implementation of a Science/Resource Center for St. Jude the Apostle Parish School.     

Buying one of the 300 Tickets is an excellent way to support our Parish School, while enjoying excellent odds toward a truly fantastic prize!

  SCRIP


"Scrip Certificates"
are sold at the Parish School Office during Regular School Hours.   Credit cards are accepted.   You can obtain a complete listing of all "Scrip Certificates" available by calling Sharon at 818 - 707 - 2447.

LABELS & BOXTOPS


We are still collecting Campbell's soup labels, and General Mills boxtops.   At the end of this school year, we can turn these in for free equipment and/or cash.   Please continue to clip and save these labels and boxtops, and bring them to the box at the front doors of the church or to the Parish School Office.    Thanks!

High Schoolers


HEY!
Are you still in high school?
Are you interested in some good fun?
Do you like the outdoors?
Do you like hanging out with friends?
Do you need some time to unwind and be yourself?
Do you need someone who can listen?

If you answered "Yes" to one of the above questions, then come to our Youth Nights at St. Jude's Youth Center on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.    Come and bring a friend!     

The Youth Center is open Sunday thru Thursday afternoons and evenings for just hanging out.    Come on over!

ARE YOU A JUNIOR OR SENIOR IN HI SCHOOL?


Hey!   We are in need of youth leaders who are in their Junior and Senior Year of High School.   Youth Leaders are involved in the planning and facilitating of youth nights, retreats, and talks.

55 PLUS FEBRUARY POT LUCK


St. Jude's 55 Plus Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month September thru
June.    This month it will meet this Wednesday, February 9th, in the Parish Hall after the 12:05 p.m. Mass.   One and all are invited who are 55 plus years.     However, if you are comfortable with 55 plus people, you are welcome.     No one checks your age.

Each participant brings a salad, or a main dish, or a dessert.     Your offering can be store-bought or home made.     There is also a Monthly Dues of $2.00.     If by chance you are unable to bring anything to eat, the Dues are $5.00.

Deputy Shawn Brownell from the Malibu Sheriff Department will give us information on fraud and self defense for seniors.     This should be a very interesting afternoon, so bring a friend along.

LOS ANGELES CATHOLIC ALUMNI CLUB

The Los Angeles Catholic Alumni Club and St. Charles Singles will jointly host a "Boat Dance" this Saturday, February 12th, at 9:00 p.m. aboard the "The Celebration" in Marina Del Rey.
