This workshop will commence at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude by 2:30 p.m.    Please bring a sack lunch.    Beverages will be provided.

CARE-GIVERS
"Respite & Renewal"

"Respite & Renewal" is a wonderful program designed to offer Care-Givers support.

We all become a Care Giver at some time during our lives.    When we become a parent of an emotionally and/or physically disabled child; or we have elderly parents or relatives to care for;   or we are involved in many bereavement or detention or other ministries that drain us even as we serve.   From time to time we need a
"Respite" and we need to be "Renewed".

This group meets every other Sunday afternoon in Rooms 3 & 4 of the Parish Hall from 1:15 to 3:00 p.m.     Next gathering is next Sunday, January 30th.     No dues!     No fees!     Just sharing and support and love.

For more information, please contact Margaret Pontius
Evenings Only at 818 - 706 - 1842.

BIBLE STUDY - Sunday to Sunday

Please come join us in preparing for next Sunday's Mass.     We meet to learn about and discuss the Readings for the upcoming Sunday Liturgy.    Each week we watch a 20 minute video, stopping the tape at appropriate moments to discuss the material presented.   We enjoy lively conversation, faith sharing moments, and good Christian fellowship, as we learn more about the Bible and thereby enable ourselves to be more fully prepared to celebrate next Sunday's Mass.

When:   Tuesday mornings 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Where:  Room 7
No preparation!     No homework!

This week we will do the
"Third Sunday in Ordinary Time" (B)."    All are welcome!   Come prepare for next Sunday's Mass!   For more information, please contact Linda Odre at 805 - 373 - 1348, or Cathy Stobbe at 805 - 379 - 4064.

WORKSHOP TO BECOME A
EUCHARISTIC MINISTER

There will be a Training Session for new Special Ministers of the Eucharist on Monday, January 24th, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the church.     No registration necessary, just show-up.

Anyone can become a Special Minister of the Eucharist who is Fully Initiated (received Baptism, Confirmation & First Holy Communion), who is married in the Catholic Church, and who can receive the Eucharist.     Since more ministers are needed, please consider stepping forward to serve your parish family by sharing the Body and the Blood of Our Lord.

BIBLE STUDY - BOOK OF REVELATION

We are all still around in spite of all the crazy predictions we heard about the Millennium and Y2K. The study of the Book of Revelation is also going-on every Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the Media Room, and Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the parish hall.

Sister Antonia Byrne, S.S.L., is leading these sessions.    One and all are more than welcome. Whether you are just starting out, or dropped-out and now want to come back, you are all welcome!
This is a great study of hope through our Lord Jesus Christ.    All are welcome!    All are invited! For more information, please phone Jerry or Judy Sullivan at
805 - 495 - 1623.
