ANNIVERSARY OF MONSIGNOR TOMMY O'CONNELL
It is hard to believe that almost one year has passed since that day since our Lord called Monsignor Tommy O'Connell home to Himself. To remember Monsignor Tommy, we will have two parish celebrations on his First Anniversary.
The first celebration will be on, 2000 with our parish school children during the 8:00 a.m. Mass. Friday, February 11th Our parish school children will lead us in sung praise and will proclaim the Readings.
The second celebration will on Sunday, February 13th, at the 12:00 Noon Sunday Mass for our parish community. Our combined choirs will lead us in sung praise, and the Mass will be concelebrated. After that Mass, there will be a "Pot Luck" in the Parish Hall. The parish will provide refreshments (coffee, tea, punch, etc.) and dessert.
Those planning to attend the "Pot Luck" are asked to bring a hot or cold main dish, or a salad, for six (6) or eight (8) people. There will be people in the Parish Hall to receive your PotLuck dish before Mass. Since those persons would like to attend the Noon Anniversary Mass too, you are asked to please try to come early. Your hot or cold dish, or salad, may be homemade or store-bought. All is good! All dishes are welcome! What will be important that day, will be the fellowship and the sharing of each person's wonderful memories of Monsignor Tommy.

you away. Please have it in your heart to forgive us! We need you to be whole! You are an intimate part of our parish community. We need to you to be able to fully help us celebrate each Sunday!
You are invited to come on Monday evening, January 24th, at 7:30 p.m. to the parish hall for a special gathering. Fr. Bill and all of us would like to extend a warm hand of welcome and say "hello". We want, we need you! Come, and help us become one again!
If you are a Fully Initiated member of the Catholic Faith and an involved member of our community,
You are what makes St. Jude's Catholic Community the beautiful family that we are. Our parish priests (Frs. Bill, Dan, Walt and John) enjoy concelebrating Mass with you each week. In fact, each Sunday our priests when celebrating Mass, and breaking Bread with you, thank God for each of you. You are all such a gift to each of us! When we all receive the Body and Blood of Christ, we truly do become what we receive for the Lord is truly present within each of us. That is such a joy and truth and gift to share.
Fr. Bill and all of us would love for you to bring a friend on Monday evening, January 24th, at 7:30 p.m. to share our peace and joy, our warmth and love that we all find in our Catholic family here at St. Jude's.
We are all looking forward for you to be with us on Monday, January 24th. We want to shake your hands most warmly and firmly in welcome and warmth. We want to hear all you have to say and share. We want to seek your forgiveness, if that is needed. Maybe we have not been warm enough, inviting enough, or have said or done something. We want to know you, and listen to you. We hope you will come to know us and all we are as Catholic Christians. We all are looking forward to seeing you on the 24th of January, 2000. Till then, may God help you all have the best Christmas ever, filled with His choicest graces and blessings!

AN INVITATION from Fr. Bill and our Parish Family
If you are not a Catholic
You are always welcome amongst us! You may come as often as you like to our Sunday Eucharist, and/or to any of our other celebrations or activities. You are also invited to come and find-out what we are all about. In fact, we would like to tell you a little about us. What we believe, how we express it, how we celebrate it, and how we live it. We are not perfect. In fact, we acknowledge that we are sinners who are trying to repent and to change our ways, so as to believe more firmly in the Gospel and thus live-out its message. We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Promised One, and that He came to save us. We very much believe in he forgiveness of sin and God's unconditional love for all His children. We have experienced God's movement and presence in the Catholic Church.
We would love to have you a part of our community, and so we invite to join us. We will have a wonderful night on Monday, January 24th, in our parish hall at 7:30 p.m. to meet you and hear your stories. Fr. Bill and all of us, would delight in personally extending our hands in greeting and welcome.
If you were once a Catholic, or if you still consider yourself a Catholic, but have not come around a Catholic Church in quite a while,
You are invited to come back home. We miss you! We are saving a place in a pew for you. We are looking for you! We would do anything we possibly could, to help you come and become a part of us again. We pray that you can at least come and share with us what is keeping you away: some Catholic teaching? a marriage problem? something that someone said that hurt you deeply? Please consider giving us another chance! We are sorry, if we drove
